Welcome to Year 2

Mrs Callan & Mrs Evans

The Year 2 team is made up of two experienced teachers. Mrs Evans will be teaching on Monday, Tuesday and part of Wednesday. Mrs Callan will be teaching on part of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. In Maths, our focus will be to develop a strong sense of number and place value so that the children are confident in applying this within other operations. In English, we will continue to develop a love of reading and the children will have weekly opportunities to visit our well-stocked library. Our writing focus is to develop sequential sentences to retell and describe. Our non-core curriculum is highly varied with many opportunities for art, music, investigation, exploring and using our wonderful outdoor space.

Reminders:

Our PE days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Children must come to school  in their PE kits on these days.

Children should bring a named water bottle to school.

Reading books must be brought to school daily.

Please ensure that your child's school uniform is labelled so we can return it to you if it gets lost.
